Ассоциация женщин с инвалидностью «Шырак» провела социальный образовательный проект «Школа независимой жизни» в Акмолинской области. Участниками были парни и девушки с  инвалидностью от 18 до 30 лет.

Проект «Школа независимой жизни» не имеет аналогов в странах Центральной Азии. Его организаторы поставили перед собой ряд актуальных задач, требующих незамедлительного решения. Они помогают людям с ограниченными возможностями преодолеть внутренние барьеры и страхи, узнать свои права и обязанности, раскрыть потенциал, развить лидерские способности и научиться действовать в команде. Члены команды проекта выступают за инклюзивное общество, где каждый человек может добиться поставленной цели вне зависимости от состояния здоровья. По заведённой традиции, на протяжении недели ученики необычной школы получают новые знания, обмениваются опытом и делают первые шаги к претворению в жизнь своих самых заветных желаний.

Участники проекта остались очень  довольны  полученными навыками, знаниями,они получили  новые знания  и приобрели новых друзей. Все участники получили  сертификаты.
